The flicker is in the lights, and its doubtful you'll be able to adjust your camera/shutter finely enough to synch them. Best advice is to take your camera to whatever store you can buy these lights and check to see which flicker before you actually buy. Sry thats not much help if you're stuck with those lights.

The flickering is caused by the lights frequency, most lights do not stay on continuously they turn on and off faster than the naked eye can see, the best way to fix the problem is to tweak the shutter speed of the camera until you get it right, ISO and Aperture settings dont really affect it.

    Posted July 7, 2020 3:33 pm

Your shutter speed should always be half your iso, this is to give good motion blur and avoid anomalies like this. so example 100 iso 1/50 shutter speed is the absolute best. This should fix your rolling shutter. Also, you need more light just in general this will fix it too.

It's more than likely your shutter speed. Set it to 60 or 50 of a second and it should clear up.

Jesse, is there any way to get your Cr-10 profile without being part of the Facebook group? I don't do Facebook, and seriously pay the price for it when it comes to 3D printing. :/Thanks in advance man… dig your channel.

Try changing your FPS on your camera the led frequency might be being picked up.

I think you're really gonna enjoy the Photon, Jessy. It's crazy popular in the 3D Printing miniature/terrain community for things like D&D. In fact, I call it the "darling" of our community because everyone seems to be gravitating towards it vs the D7/MP Mini DLP. Looking forward to seeing your review as well – hope you get the light figured out 🙂

6:14 Looking forward to the Anycubic Photon printer review. It's a DLP printer, however, not SLA, even though both styles use liquid resins. Anycubic (wisely) uses "DLP" on their website to fit industry-standard terminology. "SLA" is generally reserved for laser-based stereolithographic printers. 🙂 I'm curious to hear what you think about cost of ownership (resin vs filament), differences in post-print "clean-up" of the model compared to FDM, as well as maintenance of the printer. I hear any kind of DLP or SLA printing can be quite messy. Worth the investment of time and money compared to FDM? Thanks as always for the great channel!

I have an MX Master mouse. Best mouse! I had a 1st gen, and the movement sensor just stopped working about a month ago. Logitech just sent me an MX Master 2S as a replacement. Didn't even have to send back the original one. Such great service! Great mouse in many ways, but mostly cos no batteries. Just plug in a cable to charge while you use it.

Yeah, I was certainly gonna say as some as these other guys have, it's definitely the shutter speed. You can get the same effect with some cameras if you point it at a TV screen due to the refresh rates.

If you want to Measure from Ear tip to ear tip then just Measure from your wrist to the tip of your middle finger (or longest finger).
If you want to Measure from your wrist to the inside of your elbow then just measure your foot from the longest tow to the heel. Of to measure your foot do the reverse and measure your arm.
There are a lot of body parts that are the length of other easy to reach body parts.

Jessy, every morning there are about 40-50 sets of measuring tapes on my doorstep with a note that says "A gift for you. Love always – Gremlin". Please describe your measuring tapes and I will send them back.

I use the DEFlicker plugin by RE:Vision Effects to remove the flickering effect in post production, it works amazingly well 😉

Get a better camera and the best way to describe whats happening to your lights is to compare it to a TV. TV or videos or games are very fast slides like a old projector but imagine those slide going one billion times faster but your lights with some colours its going one million times fast witch is causing the shutter effect and most cameras pick up the shutter affect and theres your answer hope you make your vids one million times better

where did you get the pink magneto model ?

  • Diego Charter
    Posted July 7, 2020 3:33 pm

I'm not sure if this helps but when you film screens on camera they do a similar shuttering. You usually fix this by changing the shutter speed of you camera untill the effect goes away.
If you already tried this sorry for wasting your time.

Maybe adjust the LED's brightness, I think the PWM frequency is messing with camera's shutter speed.
