This game doesn’t seem very randomized. Every play through I’ve seen is the fool doing a fathers amulet quest. Unless this is like a tutorial.

wanderbots this game is very similar to the fools journey which involves the 22 major arcana with the fool being 0 or 22

I just found out that this game came out and I found your LP to check it out more. I played the first one, never finished it because I got stuck, but my computer can't run this one. Anyway, you're very right about the Tarot theme. I don't know how much you know, so forgive me, but 22 is the number of cards in the Major Arcana section of a Tarot deck, the one with the named trump cards, The Fool, Death, The Magician, etc. They're numbered 0-21, Fool to World.

There are many that look at the Major Arcana as a story, with the Fool as the protagonist, called "The Fool's Journey. He's usually drawn as if going on a journey. So in a sense, that's you and Malaclypse. The Dealer saying you're "empty" and "a blank slate is a reference to The Fool's meaning. In the story, each card is someone or something the Fool encounters and learns from.

The Major Arcana theme is very interesting to me, since the last game had a strong Minor Arcana theme. That''s the other part of the deck, the 56 cards that also became modern playing cards. The four enemy suits and court cards reflected the Minor Arcana, though Tarot has a Page and Knight instead of a Jack, but hey, going for a set of 12. On top of that, the Dealer's four symbols were Tarot too, representing the four suits of the Minor Arcana too, swords, wands, cups, and pentacles.

Sorry for going on. I just find the lore and symbolism fascinating, and this game is so beautiful. I can't want to see more.

"I hope we don't have to see this cutscene all the time, it's a little long…" It's called a loading screen mate.

5:45 That voice sounds like a mix between the Peasants from Warcraft II and the Elcor from Mass Effect.

Serious question! Why is this type of combat system universaly compared to arkham games, when assassins creed did it 2 years earlier and in every game they released , of which they have more than the arkham series? Doesn´t make sense to me.

Adding words when reading the texts that arent there, leaves words out, misreads percentages? Damn man, you have 147K subscribers. Do better.

Game volume too quiet in comparison to your voice. It needs to be louder to hear the narrator more clearly.

such a missed opportunity, why isn't the name "the game begins anew"? 😀 It'd go perfectly together with the mood of that game. It's also what the gamemaster used to say in the first one, I believe=D

Is the Dealer in this one the player character from the first one? If so, then that would validate the idea drummed into your head by the dealer in the first game that they aren't the same dealer as the first dealer of "The Game" to exist.
